Medievalists @ Penn (M@P) is a reading group run by graduate students at the University of Pennsylvania. The group is comprised of members from departments across the School of Arts and Sciences. Our purpose is to foster discussion and interaction among students and scholars of all aspects of the Middle Ages and to provide mutual support for the development of a broad interdisciplinary understanding of medieval culture.

...And we're back!
Welcome back, M@Pers! The gears are turning and Fall 2012 is just about to start here at Penn. We're polishing up the details for some great M@P events this semester, and to kick things off we would like to announce the first meeting of the DVMA (Delaware Valley Medieval Association), to be held at the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Saturday, September 15. This meeting is a celebration of the DVMA's 30th anniversary, and promises to be just the beginning of a wonderful year of events! For more information, please visit their lovely website.
We will be posting an official calendar of events here soon, and hope to see you all in the coming days as the new academic year rolls in!
Wishing everyone a happy new beginning,
Sarah and Sierra

Summer of M@P
Hello medieval blogosphere! As the Penn community settles down for a fruitful summer of academic goodness, the two new M@P co-chairs are gearing up for another amazing year. Keep an eye out for professional development seminars, hands-on research and technology workshops, and more fantastic monthly reading groups (not to mention M@P's fifth annual conference in Spring 2013!).
In the meantime, happy Feast of St. Lutgardis!
Medievally yours,
Sarah and Sierra
